I’ve been privileged to work with four different teams during the spring in order to unlock their collective power. Three of the teams are operating in a high growth, fast paced and very diverse environment (in terms of country cultures, gender and/or generations), one of them in an environment with major organizational changes. I’ve been witnessing
· Team members who support each other to acknowledge and clarify how remarkable they are at their core and the potential they have to make a 10X impact as of now, and to make it happen.
· Team members who listen to each other and build on each other’s thoughts and feelings to make their company vision evolve, to clarify how to tackle major strategic priorities and to create deeper connections.
· Team members who adopt a positive growth mindset and take ownership to address issues that impact their business, however that are generated by colleagues in other parts of the organization.
And the gate opener to a lot of the powerful conversations is the next one: “Teamwork begins by building trust. And the only way to do that is to overcome our need for invulnerability.” (Patrick Lencioni)
